Terms & Conditions of Service

Welcome to Yoga Horizon Bali. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website, participation in our Yoga Alliance registered teacher training courses (TTC), online courses, and retreats in Ubud, Bali. By using our website or enrolling in a course, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Course Enrollment & Booking Policy

To secure your place in a 200-Hour Multi-Style TTC, 200-Hour Yin Yoga TTC, 100-Hour Yin Yoga TTC, 50-Hour Yin Yoga TTC, or retreat, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of application approval.

  • Deposit Requirement: Your spot is only confirmed once the deposit has been received and verified by our admissions team.
  • Balance Payment: Remaining tuition balance must be settled prior to or on the first day of training as specified in your course welcome letter.
  • Currency: All fees are stated in United States Dollars (USD) unless explicitly noted otherwise.

2. Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy

Important Refund Guidelines

  • Deposits: Course deposits are non-refundable as they reserve limited cohort space and accommodation in Ubud.
  • Cancellation > 30 Days Prior: If you cancel more than 30 days before course start, paid balance fees (excluding deposit) may be refunded or transferred to a future cohort within 12 months.
  • Cancellation < 30 Days Prior: Tuition fees paid within 30 days of course start are non-refundable but may be eligible for credit transfer under unforeseen medical emergency with valid documentation.
  • School Cancellation: In the unlikely event that Yoga Horizon Bali cancels a course, 100% of all paid fees (including deposit) will be fully refunded or transferred to any available dates.

3. Health, Physical Fitness & Medical Disclaimer

Physical Practice & Responsibility

Yoga teacher training involves physical postures, deep stretching, pranayama (breathwork), and intensive practice. By enrolling, you confirm that:

  • You are in good physical and mental health suitable for intensive yoga teacher training.
  • You will disclose all relevant injuries, medical conditions, pregnancies, or physical limitations prior to training.
  • You participate at your own risk and are responsible for listening to your body and practicing within your personal physical boundaries.
  • You are strongly advised to hold comprehensive travel and health insurance covering emergency medical care and trip interruption while in Indonesia.

4. Certification Requirements (Yoga Alliance)

100% Attendance & Evaluation

Graduation and receipt of an internationally recognized Yoga Alliance RYT certificate is not guaranteed solely by paying tuition. Certification requires:

  • 100% attendance of scheduled teaching hours, lectures, and shala sessions.
  • Successful completion of practical practicum teaching assignments and final written/oral evaluations.
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional teaching conduct.

5. Code of Conduct & Community Standards

Respectful Environment

Yoga Horizon Bali maintains an inclusive, safe, and respectful environment for all students, lead teachers, guest faculty, and Balinese staff. Discrimination, harassment, substance abuse during training hours, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

6. Intellectual Property & Course Content

All curriculum materials, student manuals, website copy, imagery, and branding belong exclusively to Yoga Horizon Bali. Manuals and educational resources provided during training are licensed strictly for your individual educational and personal teaching reference. Reproduction or distribution of course manuals for commercial resale is strictly prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

Legal Scope

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yoga Horizon Bali, its directors, teachers, and partners shall not be held liable for personal injury, lost baggage, travel delays, or indirect damages arising out of your participation or travel to Ubud, Bali. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia.
